Is there anything you want to do as Thor that you haven’t?
"Turn him into a woman. It would be my Oscar."
Chris Hemsworth at Comic-Con
Moviefone is the best place to find what you want to watch and where to watch it -- quickly and easily.
There’s that Chris Hemsworth guy. He’s got a good body. You need a natural body because there’s no shirt. Unless you put a plastic suit on him, like Batman, and you could stick anybody in there.
So Thor has your blessing as the next He-Man?
Thor has my blessing.
Would you want to be involved in the movie at all?
Why not? I’m not dreaming about doing it every night but if there’s a role like Skeletor’s shrink or something I could play… [Laughs] Where’d I get that from?
Dolph Lundgren On Passing on the “He-Man” Legacy to Chris Hemsworth
Kids give you the most honest feedback. My manager has two kids and they’ve come to all the premieres. So I asked, “Who’s your favorite, Captain America or Thor?” He goes, [putting on a boyish, American accent], “Well, you know, I’d give them both five stars.” He’s like, six years-old. I said, “What do you mean five stars? Both of them?” I thought because I knew him, I’d have the upper hand. But kids are smart. And we both got a good score. [Laughs]
Mark Ruffalo was talking about making the mistake of going online and reading things from the fanboys. But the negative things seem to get the most attention and even when they’re in the minority. The first thing I did was jump online. You kind of can’t help it. You scroll down to the comments and it’s much easier to be negative about something than it is to be positive. But, thankfully, since these films have come out, they’ve received a great response and it’s been mostly positive.
Are you and Liam having a little brotherly rivalry over who’s going to have the bigger box office?
Only in the healthy, competitive way that brothers react. Absolutely.
Any wagers placed?
No [Laughs]. Both of us keep scratching our heads and pinching ourselves about this whole experience.
At one point, Tony Stark calls Thor “Point Break.” What would Thor’s reaction be if he sat down and watched “Point Break?”
I’ve seen that movie about a hundred times, by the way. It was one of the few tapes we had on video recorded off TV. I even remember the commercials that were in the middle of it. Thor would probably go, ” That’s pretty similar to my haircut.” Bodhi’s hair… maybe motivated by Thor’s, who knows?
'Lord of the Rings' is one of my favorite films and Boromir was one of my favorite characters. I'd read the books and seen the films and when I worked with Sean it was one of the highlights of my career … Watching 'Game of Thrones' when he gets his head cut off, I was [on the edge of my seat] going, 'They can't do it, they can't do it!' There's got to be some mythical thing that'll bring him back.
If blurry set photos and hand-drawn production art didn’t get your ‘Avengers’ juices flowing, perhaps this might: the Marvel superhero supergroup has assembled for the cover of this week’s Entertainment Weekly, and they look positively ‘Avengers’-y.
