Kids give you the most honest feedback. My manager has two kids and they’ve come to all the premieres. So I asked, “Who’s your favorite, Captain America or Thor?” He goes, [putting on a boyish, American accent], “Well, you know, I’d give them both five stars.” He’s like, six years-old. I said, “What do you mean five stars? Both of them?” I thought because I knew him, I’d have the upper hand. But kids are smart. And we both got a good score. [Laughs]

The hardcore fans — the fanboys, the comic-book geeks — they’re the reason these movies get made. They’re the ones that see it two, three, four times. If we didn’t have that loyal fanbase, I’d be unemployed. So you have to make sure they’re happy, but the way you try and do that is to become a fan. You have to read as many comic books as you can and see the character through their eyes and try to understand what they expect. … going online and checking, everyone’s going to have a different opinion.

Are you up for more “Captain America” and “Avengers?”
[Laughs] Whether I am or not, they’ve got me. I’m contractually obligated. But luckily I had a fantastic time doing them and I can’t wait to do the next ones.

Chris Evans on Captain America’s Avengers costume change
Chris Evans might be promoting Puncture at the moment but you know what online journalists are like, all we care about are comic-book movies and girls.
Thankfully, Chris has been happy to illuminate us about the former (but not so much on the latter), talking about his Avengers costume change, and casually mentioning that Captain America 2 will arrive in 2014.
